Add a Menu Item

🗺️ Menus

Your website menu is the roadmap for your clients. While ClientBAY provides a solid default menu—including Home, For Sale, House Value, and Contact Us—you have the power to fully customize the experience.

🔑 Getting Started

To begin, scroll to the bottom of your website and click Sites Login.

Once you are in the editor, click the Menus link on the top black bar.
This is your Menu Library where you can organize every link on your site.
To change your main navigation, find the "sitemenu" and click Edit

📂 Understanding the 5 Menu Item Types

When adding links, you must choose a "Type" so the system knows where to send your visitors:

  • Back At You Pages: Use this to link to built-in system pages like your Blog, My Portal, or Residential Listings.

  • Lead Sources: Use this to link directly to a Lead Form. Note: You can customize the form fields inside your ClientBAY account settings.

  • Custom Pages: Use this for any page you have personally built using the web editor, such as a "Local Guide" or "Meet the Team."

  • Other Sites: Use this if you want to link to an external website, like your local Chamber of Commerce or a news outlet.

  • Visual Elements: These don't lead to a link! Instead, use Section Headers (titles) or Dividers (lines) to keep your menu organized and pretty.

🔄 How to Update Existing Items

  1. Click the Pencil Icon next to the item you want to modify.

  2. Make your changes in the settings window that opens.

  3. Click the green Update Menu button to apply the change.

  4. Important: Click the green Save button in the upper right hand corner!

➕ Adding New Items & Submenus

  1. Select your desired Menu Item Type and fill in the details.

  2. To create a dropdown: Look for the "Submenu Of" field. If you select a parent item here, your new link will appear as a dropdown under that category (e.g., nesting "Our History" under "About Us"). 📂

  3. Click Add to Menu, then click Save
