API (Application Programming Interface) tokens are essential for seamlessly integrating your ClientBAY data with powerful external tools and applications, such as Zapier or other marketing platforms.
Follow these simple steps to quickly generate and manage your secure API tokens.
Access Account Options: In ClientBAY, select your Account Button in the upper right-hand corner.
Navigate to Tokens: From the slide-out menu, select the API Tokens link under the Options section. This will take you to the management dashboard.
Start New Token: Select the +New icon in the upper right-hand corner.
Name the Token: In the Create Token window, enter a descriptive Name to easily identify its purpose later (e.g., "RealScout Integration," "Zapier Sync," etc.).
Select User Type: Ensure User is selected under the Type dropdown menu.
Admin Access Note: If you have Administrator privileges, you can select the Admin option to create an API token that grants access across all users within your ClientBAY environment.
Generate Key: Press Save to instantly generate the API Token.
Copy and Secure: A final window will appear displaying the API Key. This is the value you need for integration purposes.
Select Copy to save the key immediately.
Then, click Close.
The newly generated token will appear on the API Tokens dashboard. Use the three-dot action button associated with each token to:
Edit the token's name.
View the key (if needed).
Deactivate the token (temporarily suspending access).
Delete the token (permanently revoking access).
