You are able to easily send out SMS Messages from the ClientBAY system using BAY Number to your contacts and leads.
Once you have purchased a BAY Number to use through ClientBAY, we are required to provide business information in order to maintain A2P 10DLC compliance
Telecom Carriers have put standard A2P 10DLC Compliance rules into place to ensure that text messages being sent to US users are verified and consensual which helps prevent spam abuse and unsolicited messaging.
A2P means Application to Person - in this case, ClientBAY is the application and the contacts and leads that you are texting through BAY Number are the people.
10DLC refers to the 10 digit BAY Number
What this means is when you are using BAY Number and sending text messages through ClientBAY, your clients and leads have to opt in to receive those text messages.
When you send a contact or lead a text message for the first time through BAY Number the system will ask you to send them an "Opt In Notification."
This can easily be done by selecting the link where you are sending your message from in ClientBAY. The below photo shows what you will see.
The contact or lead will then receive a text message asking if they would like to receive messages from you.
All they have to do is reply "yes" to opt in or "no" to opt out.
- Once they opt in, they will be able to receive SMS messages being sent out from you through your BAY Number. They only need to opt in once.
- If they do not opt in, they will not be able to receive those text messages.
This improves the experience for your contacts and leads by making sure they can opt in and out of messaging and also so they know who is sending them messages.
It also benefits you as a business because it allows you to safely AND securely send and receive calls and text messages automatically from our system.
