Godaddy Settings for Agent Domains

Step 1: Setting the A records for the root of the domain. 
  1. Log in to your Godaddy Account
  2. Click "Manage ALL" next to domains
  3. If you see your domains in a tile format, click the list  Icon in the top right hand corner to show your domains in the list format. 
  4. Click on the name of the domain you are editing
  5. Click Manage DNS
    1. In the Records section
      1. Look for a record with a Type A and a Name of "@" 
      2. If you see the record, click the Edit Icon to edit the record
      3. If you do NOT see this record, click the "Add" button at the bottom of the records section
    2. Set the following settings for this record
      1. Set Host to "@"
      2. Set "Points To" as "157.230.196.39" 
      3. Set TTL to custom, with 600 seconds
  6. Click save


Step 2: Setting the correct CNAME record 

  1. After clicking Save you should be back at the top of the DNS Management page 
  2. In the CNAME section, click the edit icon to Modify the www record
    1. If you do not see a www record, you can click Add Record, and choose CNAME as the type and www as the Host
    2. Ensure Host is set to www
    3. Points to should be set to the domain you are setting up.  So if you were setting up mycustomedomainname.com you would set the WWW CNAME to point to mycustomedomainname_com.sites.bkat.io (be sure to use your website, not the domain in this example) 
    4. Set TTL to Custom with 600 Seconds
    5. Click Finish
  3. Click Save Changes

Once the settings take effect, you may see a message such as "invalid configuration for domain..." when you go to the website. 
This is normal and just means that an administrator at your company needs to setup the new domain in ClientBAY.
