ADMIN: Changing the Domain of an Existing Website
🌐 Updating Agent Website Domains
As an Admin, you can easily change the URL of an agent's website. Whether they have rebranded or simply want a new web address, you can manage these updates directly from your dashboard.
🛠️ How to Change a Domain Name
Access Settings: Select the Settings icon ⚙️ in the upper right-hand corner of ClientBAY.
Navigate to Domains: Select Domains under the Miscellaneous section.
Locate the Site: On your Domain Dashboard, use the search bar 🔍 in the upper right to find the specific agent or domain you wish to modify.
Edit the Domain: Click the three-dot action button next to the domain and select Edit.
Initiate Change: Click the Change Domain Name button located next to the Domain Name field.
Enter New Address:
Type in the new Domain Name.
Forwarding: You will be asked if you want to forward the old domain to the new one. Select Yes if you want visitors who use the old link to be automatically redirected to the new site.
Confirm & Save: Select OK to return to the Details page. Scroll to the bottom and click Save 💾 to push the changes live.
⚠️ Important Notes
Forwarding: Setting up forwarding is highly recommended to prevent "broken links" if the agent has already shared their old URL on business cards or social media.
Propagation: After saving, it may take a short amount of time for the new domain to fully activate across the internet.
